Guidelines for Fully-Rendered Pencil Commission
Be sure to mention:
-
Your name, zip code (for shipping calculations), and contact info
-
How soon you would like your commission started (if immediately, say so). For completion time estimates, click here.
-
An overall description of your commission (if an illustrated portrait, if an outdoor scene, etc.)
-
The title(s) of any existing pieces on the site similar to your idea and which aspects you like
-
The total size of your commission (please, no larger than 18" x 24")
-
Any animals present
-
Pose, age, and clothing of any human subjects
-
The time period
-
Any objects present, especially difficult-to-render ones (glass, water, mirrors, other drawings or paintings, foliage or flowers, etc.)
Also important:
-
Will you require additional photo references besides those you provide? That is, do you have photo references (for which you own the rights) for everything present in the drawing?
-
Would you like to set up a photoshoot to obtain custom and quality photo references for your drawing?
-
Do you have a definite layout or would you like help setting up your drawing? A little sketch, no matter how unfinished, is always very helpful!
Don't worry about every detail, this is only a proposition; if your commission is accepted, you will work with
the artist to finalize your commission.
